Motivation for Memory

As we grow old and burden of various responsibilities start to occupy most of our mind, one thing which gets affected most is our memory. We always find ourselves thinking about different essentials of life like, family, job, kids, friends etc. in the quagmire of several necessities, we often start forgetting few small things. How often you have noticed, you are out there to purchase few things and all of a sudden you find yourself struggling to remember that one thing! When you stepped out of your home, you clearly remembered you had four items to purchase but when you roam in nearby grocery store, you are unable to remember two things! Your mind does not support you and you are in daze trying to recollect things real hard.


The problem compounds even more when you know you are forgetting one very important thing.  similarly, you are running errands and have the nagging feeling in the back of your mind that you are forgetting something really, really important. Two hours later you remember, Oh, I had to get my kid back from the school for which you are now one hour late. How does it feel? Terrible, indeed. But then, life is as much about solutions as life is about problems. It would be really great to remember little things without ever having to use copious sticky notes, reminder messages or other related stuffs. Many of you would ask, is it even possible to every trifle thing? To your surprise and great delight, the answer is ‘Yes’. An emphatic yes.


We Are Made One with What We Touch and See

Oscar Wilde is known for his wisdom and literary skills. Not known to many, he wrote quite a few poems which are worth relishing. Today, I would be sharing one of his poems titled ‘We Are Made One with What We Touch and See’. The theme can be well understood from the title. It’s about existence and well being of human existence. How we must relish our own existence and make the most out of it.  


We are resolved into the supreme air,

We are made one with what we touch and see,

With our heart’s blood each crimson sun is fair,

With our young lives each springimpassioned tree

Flames into green, the wildest beasts that range

The moor our kinsmen are, all life is one, and all is change.


With beat of systole and of diastole

One grand great life throbs through earth’s giant heart,

And mighty waves of single Being roll

From nerveless germ to man, for we are part

Of every rock and bird and beast and hill,

One with the things that prey on us, and one with what we kill


One sacrament are consecrate, the earth

Not we alone hath passions hymeneal,

The yellow buttercups that shake for mirth

At daybreak know a pleasure not less real

Than we do, when in some freshblossoming wood

We draw the spring into our hearts, and feel that life is good


Is the light vanished from our golden sun,

Or is this daedalfashioned earth less fair,

That we are nature’s heritors, and one

With every pulse of life that beats the air?

Rather new suns across the sky shall pass,

Developing Positive Attitude

For developing attitude, first we need to develop some discipline and habit of waking up nice and early. If we find ourselves waking positively with a smile, chances of day passing smoothely becomes really great. We must try to open our eyes in the morning in a calm, serence environment. It’s not always easy, especially with family persons but then, a little bit of planning and finishing few works in previous night itself will make lot of things easier.


Don’t try to rush things. Take it easy and plan in advance. If you are going to school or office, make sure to reach there before time. One must learn to imbibe habit of giving oneself enough time to accomplish tasks. Also, try to give a smile to people you come across on your way to the destination. Eat your food properly and never ever skip your meals. All work and no food make jack a dull boy. So, try to balance your work overload with proper food schedules.


Having friends around always prove very beneficial for your own mental and emotional state. Friends are stress-busters. Share laugh, crack jokes, spend time together and all stress gone! Socialize with friends will help you in staying positive. One of the important suggestions is to curbing media influence. Most of the news are depressing and often presented as headlines. So, try to stay away from them and look forward to positive things. Last but not the least, always, I repeat, always try to act positive even when you are not. This may sound strange but try doing that and you will find, you are able to lift your spirits once again while just pretending to be happy.

One must have heard this word thousand of times from several famous personalities, achievers, motivational speakers and even in general discussions. So, what is so magical about this word? Is it really as important as it is made out to be? The unquestionable answer is ‘Yes’! If one hears, attitude is everything, it’s correct. The problem lies in the fact that, it’s quite tough to be positive all the time, in every sphere of life. But then, being optimist with a great positive is known to produce miracles. It redefines life. Even in case of medical treatments, doctors always recommend to feel optimistic about your treatment. Even research says, patients with a positive attitude towards life tend to recover fast than compared to ones with negative and pessimistic approach.


We often come across several stories in our daily lives about how positivity transformed lives of several people. It’s a boon who helps you in not only accomplishing difficult things but also helps you in building strong and long lasting relationships. In addition of increasing motivation, positivity also spreads strong vibes. At the same time, I accept, it’s difficult to be positive 24/7, but then a journey of thousand miles always begins with a single step. So why not start it today only? Let’s cheer ourselves up with the conviction that, we are going to be happy, positive and nurture an exciting outlook towards life.

Time Management: Step by Step Process

The process of time management starts with knowing the difference between spare time and free time. Free time refers to time you have when you have nothing else to do whereas spare time is the time you have in between important tasks. Time management requires one to use spare time to his or her advantage. Several mundane tasks like, calling can be done is spare times. If you are in your car or waiting at some place or during lunch, you can do all these in your spare time. These small things go a long way in handing time management dilemma.


One of the most important factors in deciding your time management is your family schedules. After all, family comes first. If family is busy doing several things, naturally you will be busy as well. Apply the same principles while dealing with your kids and their spent time in extra curricular activities. They should not be pushed too hard.


Planning is another crucial factor. Keep a check on others’ activities in your home and in office so that you can schedule your work accordingly. Also analyze your own productivity level and your preferred time of the day for your work. 

Finally, it’s all about managing your precious personal time. One must spend more time on himself so that it helps in his time management. Other viable options are exercising which helps in increasing your productivity. Reading a book or going for a half an hour walk will also be instrumental in shaping your view about time management
